How far would you hack her?

My friend wants my hubby to head out a hack with her this weekend with her horse, He was going to take Mae, however mae hasnt been getting as much work since i got pregnant. Shes only getting rode in the arena for about 40 minutes twice a week.

My friend was going to bring her horse up to the yard and ride to a viewing point which is about 4 miles away, then the same back.

I know that im known for being over protective but i dont want to push her.

Personally I think that 4 miles and back at a slow hacking pace would be absolutely fine (unless she has some medical problems and OH is fine weight wise for her)

Hubby only weighs 11 stone and shes a heavy cob, she has no medical condition. I think the only problem then would be her coming back not too pleased from being worked lol

ditto to ravenwood, 8 miles altogether is fine .

4 miles is less then an hour on horseback at a walk.
i wouldnt worry too much provided your OH isnt huge on her and the they keep it to a walk and gentle trot.
