Can anyone tell me how high the top of these blocks are? and how many inches each section goes up in roughly ...

I have the purple one but I couldn't tell u how high it was

It's a good pair tho but I've found they aren't good on windy days unless the poles are quite heavy. Mine have blown down several times but the school is very open to the weather.
 
The top ones are 3 ft if you use a 4 inch pole, obviously if you use a narrower pole it will be that much lower. The heights are roughly (inc the pole) 6 inches, 1 ft, 18 inches, 2ft/ 2ft6/ 2ft 9 and then 3 ft. The bottome link are 2ft standing on their end although they can be used on their sides in 2 different ways to be around 1 ft / 18 inches / 2 ft
