All i can think of atm but im sure there is more things like it.

Eating horse food, well you have to try it!

Sitting on the sofa in smelly horse clothes, although I try to avoid it......

Eating food that has been dropped on the kitchen floor even though 2 dogs live there and the floor doesn't look like its been cleaned in ages.

Well, only if its there less than 5 seconds anyway

I am guilty of the eating horse food too, Im glad Im not the only one!! only to try though, Alfalfa isnt my regular lunchtime snack!!
I do kiss my horses, and do normally spend all weekend smelling like a muck heap
smile.gif

I was sitting at a conference the other day and a colleague said to me ... 'did you do haynets this morning before work?' 'yes, why?' I said....she then reached over and pulled a bit of hay out of my hair !!

I'm terrible for eating after working with the horses and not washing my hands
blush.gif
ALso if I find a dog/horse/rabbit/cat hair in food I'll pick it out and carry on eating
blush.gif
ALthugh if it's a human hair I would be more worried! Lol

I find I am very rarely ill though.

I wear over chaps for mucking out. ALWAYS WASH MY HANDS first thing I do when entering house.

Of course I kiss my horse.

Yep sounds about right. When I was a kid working at a riding school we used to drink out of the hosepipe even though it spent most days strewn across the yard floor. I'm sure my immune system is much healthier now because of it!!!

I am always kissing Horlicks.... much to my OH's disgust!! He is always saying "I hope you haven't given that horse a kiss" I tell him, she's not like a dog, and can't lick her own bum!!!!

When I worked at the yard, I never washed my hands before eating (unless of course I had be picking up poo with out any gloves!!!) I would also often be picking out bits of straw and hay from my cup of tea before slurping it down!!

The other day when I was riding, my nose was streaming, but Horlicks was going so well, I daren't take my hands off the reins to wipe my nose!!!!

Nothing wrong with a bit of dirt!! I was rarely ill when I worked with horses, and never caught colds. Now, though since working in an office, I always get at least one cold a year!

I wear thermals as outer clothes (ski elevation from Tescos, large size means they are baggy and warm), I have about 6 full sets, all in black, change them every 2 days and keep those as yard clothes. they can also be ridden in - fab, economical way to stay clean and warm - and about £16 a set.

I always snog my horsie and do most of the things mentioned
blush.gif
maybe thats why I had a stomach problem for the last few years !!!! If i drop food on the floor - just blow the dogs hairs off and its as good as new !

All of the above!!
smile.gif
I also ride before work.............and then don't shower
shocked.gif

Everyone else in the office comes in stinking of stale beer from the night before so a bit of sweat/horse poo/general dirt is fine!
grin.gif

The worst was when my friend's horse had a sinus cyst and liked to wipe his nose on me. I would often come in from the horses and make myself a cup of tea and mum would be like 'what's that on your shoulder?'........luminous yellow horse snot......NICE!

I also usually have hay/straw/shavings in places where they shouldn't be.
My OH doesn't like me giving the horses kisses as you don't know what they have been rolling in, but of course i still do
grin.gif

All of the above :P Though I was very disappointed with the taste of alfalfa, it smells so good but tastes SO BAD! lol Should probably add to the list:
-wears the same set of clothes to go and do the horse in everyday for a week-well they're just going to get muddy anyway! :P

Five second rule every time
grin.gif

all of the above and would enforce the 5 second rule too, however the dogs are usually quicker!

I have trained as a microbiologist and should know better, but I did a study for one of the watchdog programs and discovered that things are not usually as clean as you think they are, so am working on the principle that it hasn't killed me yet and probably won't.....

I look at it as training my immune system, seems to be doing the trick as I am one of the only ones in the office not to have had a terrible, debilitating cold

Yep, guilty of pretty much all of the above.
blush.gif

I've just traded my slidy mobile phone in for a non-slide version, as it kept refusing to open as it was jammed with bit sof straw/hay/horse food/mud etc etc!

Ditto!!!

haha when we were kids working at the RS we used to poo pick with bare hands so we didn't get our gloves dirty!
blush.gif

Then we'd eat our pack up....... we *might* have washed our hands but as the hose pipe was the only running water and the only way to dry our hands was to wipe them on our joddies I'm not sure it helped......

Recently got told off by the staff on current yard for washing my face with the hosepipe on a hot day when I was all dusty - apparently it isn't suitable for humans.......... oh well, I'm still here and have washed my face in a stream before too - ho hum!
