I always knew he was a saint, but he thoroughly spoiled me for any other horse. He was so easy to do and ride and now Ive got a complete B**tard. I feel like giving up horses at the mo!
oh sweetheart yes you have been spoilt you lucky devil but you help make your old horse what he was - breathe take a step back and dont look at the new horse in the same eyes of youre old one - they are all different and now its down to you to see what makes youre new bond with you - hang in there sweetheart - give youre new one a chance ( may not happen over night) to show what they are made of. just try and be patient as you have so many memories of your lovely old horse in head - big big hug to you and always a shoulder here xxxx
It's so difficult going from a horse you know and love to anything new. However lovely the new horse is, it can always be difficult! I was devasted to sell my old boy who I'd trained myself from a baby to get on anything else and like it But as has already been said, hang on in there. I always had to take a step back and think ''well this is good, that's good and so is that. But this, that and the other I'd like to improve" rather than always saying the old one did it better. Easier said than done though Hope it works out though x
sweetheart you are not being a whinger - you have step from youre comfort zone into the unknown - as said above concentrate on the good times learn from the not so good - you willl come through this smiling just take youre time and enjoy bonding and just finding what makes youre new horse tick - youre not winging hun just starting a new journey with a new horse - enjoy xxxxx
