How irresponsible is this..?

I do it.

I walk Ted with the buggy. The only problem I have is he tries to raid the cup holder bit for sweets.

I would never tie him to the push chair though.

I also lunge with her sat in buggy watching, or if there are other people around I will ride while she sits in buggy and watches.

TBH I don't see the problem, surely if the horse did do something stupid, you could put the brake on the buggy, deal with horse (shoot it!) and then resume?

My mum used to pick me up from playschool on her horse (15.2 TB type) I can't imagine I wore a hat, and if I did it was likely a velvet style with elastic strap that would have been uselss anyway. One day I (3 years old) decided it was time to trot, flapped toddler legs and off we went! Horse spooked, I fell off. Hospital visit and night in coma later, and I'm fine! :D

If I ever have kids, they come with the proviso that I am not giving up riding for anything, if the OH wants to have them - he'll have to deal with that ;)
