We have a slightly muddy gateway following Callum's visit, but considering the amount of rain we had (closest floods about 4 miles away) it's doing very well. They're still on the hay fields (lowest part of of farm with a natural spring that is ususally dry in one field but that pokes up and creates a pond when it's very wet.) and there's still a good covering of grass although we're noticing that they're tucking into their hay far more when they come in now so there's obviously not so much in it now. They're still nice and fat and and out 24/7 though amd even though I'd rather them have rugs on to keep them clean it's still too warm even for lightweights. They had them on for 2 days when the storm was here and we needed them clean and dry to go to a funride on Sunday, but after that we put them back out naked as they were sweaty in their rugs. I think they'll be down there at least another 3 weeks before ythey come up, we then get a week or two of being out on the winter grazing before they start coming in overnight.
