Hey to anyone who remembers me and my mare, thought I would give a quick update. going into winter Pru dropped some weight, thankfully she has now picked up, work has been on and off pretty much whole winter due to the weather, a few lessons which were fab, lots of in hand and groundwork. Did a bit of lunging but she started messing about on the right rein refusing to do anything, it had been 5 months since she had seen the chiropractor so arranged a visit last week. Found main problems on her left side but once she had finished Pru seemed much happier. She also has had 2 seasons so far and is a nightmare, she can get a bit funny when tied up if other horses walk behind her and she will occasionally kick out in the stable, spoke to my instructor and we decided to try her on oestress. She has been on this 2 weeks now and the difference is amazing. Started working her again on Sunday after a few days off after chiropractor. Lunged her and did not have a single problem, canter is becoming more established on the lunge too. I am going to slowly build up her work again over the next couple of weeks then try to get canter under saddle. so anyway sorry for the essay.
how do you think she looks coming out of winter?
