How long after a broken radius and ulna until I can ride again!?

Hello everyone,
Almost two weeks ago I had a bad fall off my horse where I snapped my radius and ulna and dislocated my wrist. At the minute I'm in a full arm cast. As I said, it's not even been two weeks and it's already driving me mad not being able to ride! My cast is due off on the 10th of December but someone told me I'd have to wait at least another two weeks for my arm to be strong enough to ride! Anyone else been in the same situation? How long did you wait? Or does anyone know anything about this sort of thing? A friend of mine broke her arm and rode even with her cast on but the break was nowhere near as bad.
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if it's the same, but my cousin fell off and broke her collar bone cross country, she wasn't allowed near a horse for 12weeks, she said it was the worst time of her life cause all she wanted to do was get back on! Your break sounds pretty bad hope your okay. I think it's just depends on you, how quick your bone heals, how quick your able to regain strength.
Not much of a help but hope your back in the saddle as soon as you can

Thank you!
That sounds bad! Hers must have been worse as I still go to the yard to see my horse and watch everyone else ride theirs, so at least I'm allowed near the horses!

Expect to have a brace on and to have to do physio after the cast has come off. Don't rush too much to do things, you need that arm for the rest of your life so make sure it's right.
