how long after sedalin to ride?

Depends how much sedalin, why they had the sedalin and the horses reaction (some are much sleepier than others). My vet prescribed a small daily dose of sedalin to allow me to re-introduce my TB to controll exercise following lameness.
If a horse had a decent size dose and had been obviously sleepy then I'd probably wait a good 4 hours.

hi, my mare used to have sedalin for the farrier and it was a strong dose. i would normaly keep her in (no hay) until she was looking over her door and not swetting. then i would let her out for few hours and not ride until the afternoon or next day if done in afternoon. better to give them plenty of time but i suppose different horses and smaller doses may get it out of the system faster. maybe lunge before you ride then you can judge how your horse seems.
hope that helps a bit:D
