How long after sedation?

Toto has to be sedated by the vet to be clipped, he's clipped in the morning and then in all day to recover, then out the next day.
How long do you leave your horse after sedation before riding them?

I would leave it until the next day tbh!!

Sorry KatB, forgot to put that we don't ride until the day after or even the day after that, was just curious as to whether other people rode the day after or how many days they left
