a field has been sprayed with weedkiller is it safe to let the horses back in? The farmer sprayed them 2 days ago and there is talk of them going in them tomorrow but I'm not sure if it's too soon?

I think it maybe rain dependent but I think ours had to stay off for a week last year. I think It was 5-7 days.

Thanks Allykat. We've not had rain, well we had a ten minute burst but that's been it. I don't like the thought of her digesting goodness knows what?

It really depends on which weedkiller he has used, however normally you keep horses off the field for a week to 2 weeks but if it rains during this period then you can move them in sooner.

My fields are all being sprayed next week so my guys will be off them for a week because of the weedkiller I chose, and because it is supposed to rain later in the week.

I wouldn't be too keen for mine to be going out on a field that was only done 2 days ago.

I've just found out that it was only the edge of the field that he sprayed, ie round the fence to make sure that the electric fencing didn't stop working.
