Just wondering once soaked, how long do you have until you should stop using it? is there a limit? or does it keep well? Thankyou in advance for any help!:)

I find it keeps quite well in winter when it's cold, but this weather I would only use it freshly soaked as it seems to ferment really quickly if left.

Echo the above. We use Alfabeet, in winter a dry scoop soaked in a bucket of water lasts until its used up (2 scoops a day) but now, if we were still feeding it, we would be soaking on a need to use basis.

Thankyou

i do it on a need to use basis currently, just wanted to check there wasnt a more efficient way of doing it!:)

Mine lasts 2 days in winter - any longer than that and it starts to go off. In summer I don't leave it for more than an hour or so or it goes a bit minging!

Erk! In a cool, stone built tack room my speedibeet keeps fine for about a day and a half in the summer! I only make small quantities up, very wet. Never had any probs and porky neds tuck in regardless.

It seems to last a bit longer is you have a lot of water in it, so it's totally submerged, even when fully soaked.

In winter ours last 3-4 days max (cold stone building) but I wouldn't leave it more than overnight in summer.

It depends on the weather and where it's stored. You can tell how long yours is going to last as it the liquid goes thicker and gets a sour smell when it's starting to go off. In summer I make it fresh each day. In winter I use more and make enough to last 2 days at a time.
