How long did it take for your vets to receive the drugs from Liverpool for sarcoids?

We've been waiting for quite a long time now whilst everything has been in the pipeline for my husband's mare. Finally had a phone call from our vet last Tuesday saying they had paid for the BCG injections and everything else to go with it the previous Friday and as soon as the drugs arrived with them they would phone us to arrange starting the treatment.

How long did it take for the cream/injections to arrive for you? Normally we wouldn't be bothered by the wait but it's a very aggressive fibroblastic sarcoid which has grown a great deal since the vet last saw it and is irritating the poor mare. :( She's been rubbing it and actually broken part of it off but every time she rubs it she makes it even more aggressive so the sooner we can start treatment the better! We have phoned the surgery to ask what the score is but waiting for our vet to phone back which may not be until tomorrow now.

Thanks :)

It was very quick, certainly no more than 10 days. Worked very well too. Hope the treatment arrives soon and good luck with it

Try aloe vera gel whilst you wait. I used it on the cobs sarcoid and it got rid really effectively..
You were lucky, Baluga. Please do NOT use aloe vera on sarvoids. Aloe vera is a good healing therapy in some instances as it increases cell renewal and production, exactly what you DON'T want with sarcoid cells and related tissue!

No more than 2 weeks for the meds to come through to the vet.

I'd also recommend leaving well alone until the Liverpool treatment arrives. I had a nasty experience myself last year when trying an innocent natural remedy against sarcoids. Better not to risk it.

mine was only 4 days.

Agree about Aloe Vera, it promotes skin growth which is the last thing you want :)

I would phone vet back to say how the sarcoid is deteriorating and you need the cream NOW
