How long do calmers take to work?

Specifically top spec calmer, the horse I ride doesn't really need a calmer apart from lacking confidence when hacking on his own or when meeting farm machinary. However a friend has a big tub of it that she doesn't need so has rather than it going to waste we may aswell use it for him.

So if it does help, how long does it take to get into their system??

a friend of mine used top spec, i think it is about 2 weeks if it has any effect at all.

I found Top Spec to make no difference at all.

Tried NAF Magic on my loony bin horse and noticed a difference to about 3 days, we started it on the Monday and by the Sunday he was chilled enough for me to take to a local show - Unheard of before!!!
