Pulled C's mane today- it was getting waayy too long, and I don't like TBs with long manes really. I'm also probably getting him clipped soon, so thought I'd send him in to winter looking smart :D (the tail is tomorrow's job! mwahaha).
Unfortunately I got a little pulling-comb-happy :o You know how it is, when it's a bit uneven, so you shorten it all a little...then a little more... :o

There were a couple of "oh my"s from other liveries

How long will it take to grow an inch or two??

PS. Poor lad was a star as usual and stood like an angel happily looking outta the window and eating haynet while i tugged away :D

PPS. I do have a picture.

Oh dear *chuckles* i have done that quite a lot over the years, its just so hard to stop when it doesn,t look right :)

I think horses manes grow at something like half an inch to an inch per month depending on the time of year

Unfortunately (much as i'm looking forward to sharing my embarrassment with you all  ) I can't upload the pic for a bit as I have lost my Bluetooth plug in dealy and am waiting for mum to finish with hers. Sorry :D Will get it ASAP!

SusannaF- LMAO, not quite the same really, for a start C had less to begin with than that pony, so his has more of a wispy effect as opposed to being apparantly as thick as it is long :D :D

Looking at the pic on my phone, I guess it's not THAT bad, could be shorter... it's more the fact that it gets shorter as it goes along, by the time it gets to his wither it's a couple of cms long :o
Makes his neck look less spindly too, guess that's a bonus- it just looks kinda bare now.

Yea, yea, we believe you but thousands wouldn't ....

Don't worry, it will grow back quite quickly.

Has to be better than the chavs up my yard who hacked at their poor horses mane with a pair of scissors ....
