How long do you have to wait from feeding to administering sedalin ?

I need to give horse a bit for clipping (slighly anxious rather than dangerous).
not being clipped until about 10am, so will give about 9.15 (ish). Usually has breakfast & small net about 7-7.30. Should I skip the hard feed and just give him a small net to keep him occupied, or give the hard feed and skip the net or just feed as normal. Just dont want to leave him with nothing while all other horses are eating as this WILL stress him out and then the sedalin will be pointless anyway.

Thanks

Agghhh - just lost my reply! There is plenty of time there so sedalin away. I do find that it can work slower if they have a tummy full of food. But that would be giving it straight after they've eaten. Just make sure he hasn't got anything in his mouth when you give it to him so he doesn't spit it out. I would also give him some hay to munch on whilst you clip if he's a little greedy as might just take his mind off it a bit.
