30-40 minutes, 5-10 minute warm up with nothing on then I generally use the Pessoa with a 5 minute break in between then a cool off 5-10. However I have a stupidly long lunge line that is about 120ft so I have him out on massive circles to take as much strain off his legs as possible during the warm up and cool down and bring him back in to work properly on a normal sized circle. Having the size line I do and the space to do it in, makes it better as he can have a decent canter to loose himself off before being brought back onto a tighter circle.
I also use straight lines, different sized circles and as much of the field as possible.
At the moment he isn't lunged as the fields are too wet but he was lunged 2 x week when he was in ridden work and then 4 x week when he wasn't ridden (no saddle).
