Hi All
I just wanted to find out if you are all as sad as me. I virtually seem to live with my horses and when Im not there Im thinking of all the things I could or should be doing with them. I probably spend 6 hours with them 4/7 days of the week and at least 3 hours the rest of the time. I dont know, mucking out, feeding, grooming and then generally tidying up after then theres the riding....
Anyway ladies or gents how long do you spend, and does your OH object?

I spend about half an hour up in the morning, and about an hour in the evening. I usually go up to ride during the day though, and then I'll be up for a 2 or 3 hours. There's just not that much to do up there to stay up longer! I think OH might object if I was up all evening every evening because I'd rarely see him!

I run my own livery yard and have 8 horses there. It takes me about 2 and half hours in morning to muck and feed and turn out all. Then about 3-4 hours in the evening to bring in, bed, ride my 2 etc. But I love it and would not want an office job

Couldn't answer the third question I'm afraid as I am single, probably because I spend sooo much time with my horses!

I get in from work at 6 and currently grab quick bite to eat, go up the yard and then comedown at about 9. But when the clocks change this evening

I'll be up there even longer and in the summer its not unusal for me to be in after 11

Edited to say I go up on a morning before work as well and for me the yard is a very sociable place to be, very friendly bunch

The yards mine and my house is tacked onto the stables so Im here 24/24, 7 days a week. Oh is a transporter, so when hes not out with the horsebox he's helping me and doing the heavy work. Hes schooling a clients horse while shes at uni so I have the honour(?) of grooming for him at homethen when we go to competitions. It makes for a busy day but its satisfying. M.

I spend all day and every day with my guys as I live here. Husband does help with the running of the farm and although he rides occasionally, he doesn't get overly involved with the horses on a one to one basis. He will do any jobs which need doing as this is my business so we both have a common goal.
