before I hack out my share horse on his own? He has only just been bought back into riding and is a bit spooky and does tend to hide behind other horses whilst out hacking if he is scared! However it would be nice to tke him out on his own at some point! Should I just take him out on his own and see how he does?

Wait until you are a more confident partnership. Once you are happily hacking out in company - then start thinking about going on your own would be my advice.

if it were me id wait a little while till you get to know the horse properly and hack out in company,you could try hacking to a safe place then hacking away from the other horses a little way then back then away till he builds his confidence and putting him at the front of a ride so you can see what he will be like but id hack out in company for now
