How long does an opened wormer keep?

I find it really irritating that the majority of syringe wormers aren't sufficient for a 625kg horse :mad::mad::mad: It's a real pain and extra expense to have to buy two every time I worm. Grrrrrr

Anyway, if I buy an extra syringe it would be sufficient to top up three wormings - but would an unsealed syringe last months?

Give the manufacturer a ring, I would have thought it would be ok if you kept it in the fridge or somewhere cool

The vets have always told me they are fine once opened until their date on the back along as stored right. I save my bits and the ponies have all the left overs as they normally come with long dates
