I do a full muck out every day. I am a perfectonist! It takes me about 15 minutes each stable. Some people do a quick job but their beds are horrible! I think as if it was me that had to sleep on it!

It takes me 45 mins in the morning to feed, muck out, change rugs & turn out my 3 horses. They are on Straw for the winter & I leave the clean straw up round the edges whilst they are out during the day, so the stable gets a chance to dry out.

I guess mine are fairly clean as I they are good size stables & I have rubber mats so they stand at the front on rubber & sleep at the back on the straw so it doesnt get too churned up.

I do water, haynets and put the beds back down & add clean straw when I get home in the evening.

I've got 2 on shavings and one on rubber matting/straw...it takes about 30mins during the week when I do 'speed-mucking out' before work, on weekends when I do my 'big muck out' (ie get the wet shavings up and lift the beds) it takes about an hour - poss longer if i'm socialising and tidying feed room etc.

I do my haynets the night before, so they just have to be hung up.

Just got the one to do and he is on shavings; 20min on a good day and 30-40min when it is wet and I need to dig quite a bit out. Thankfully he is on an automated water drinker which I really appreciate now it is winter.

Full muck out, hay nets and water buckets for 2 takes me 30 mins. The actual muck out takes under 10 mins inc. bedding back down - I'm super speedy as had to muck out A LOT of ponies in my youth!, I hate doing nets though!

15 mins for a full muck out - fairly deep shavings on rubber mats. I take all wet and poo out, lift the shavings to the front, sweep out the back and then re-lay the bed (my mats dry super fast) and then I sweep out the front.

I am a perfectionist though (my horses are on full livery and I still re-do the beds - I cant help myself).

10 minutes per box, less for the little pony on hemp, as he only has wet out once a week, so about 30 - 35 minutes to do 3 ponies and a cob, on my own.
About an hour and a half with the children helping

about 20 mins, includes everything on a straw bed with rubber matting (not that that makes a difference to me!), I feel very slow compared to the other people on my yard but my horse has the deepest bed so I don't care!

Thirty mins to feed, do my bed (deep litter - and yes, if you do it properly, you can have a deep base and a white layer on top- I would sleep on it!) make feeds, water, hay, sweep. I do all my jobs in the morning and in the evenings I groom and feed.

At the moment I am at the yard at ten to 6 and at the gym by half past.

OMG I'm sooooooo slow!!!
My mare wee's in the banks, so i muck out every day but leave wee in banks and just take that out once a week. The half muck out takes 20 mins, and the full banks and all muck out takes an hour!!!!
I need to get quicker!

I am so slow, this morning I was blessed with 2 dirty stables and it took me an hour and half to muck out and turn out my 2! They have just moved onto another stable block on the yard and i'm hoping they are just settling in, if not i've no idea what i'll do can't spend that amount of time on a morning it normally only takes 40mins for it all!

Which one? The obsessive sweeping, or mucking out your horse when it is on full livery? I am guilty of both.

Have told YO that it is nothing personal, I am just very particular about my beds and I have OCD.

ive got 3 horses- two on shavings, one of straw
down about 6.20/ 6.40.
takes me 35-45 minutes to sort them all out-
feed(ready made)
change rugs, plus quick flick of body brush
put two of them out in field and one in turnout pen
put new haynet out for horse in turnout pen.
pick feet out
change waters
full bins with hay and steam
muck out-dont take out any wet in the week, just droppings.(they are on mats but have a full bed)
make feeds and leave in stable for when they come in.
brush yard
leave at 7.30/ 7.40 home in 3mins to get changed for work at 8.30(and i can leave the house at 8.29 to get there lol)

full muckout takes about 10mins per bed at weekends.

finish work at 5-takes me til 5.15 to get there due to traffic/getting changed.
i usually ride in the evenings-i just muck out one horse who gets brought in for me at lunchtime while she goes out in the pen again,re do feed, hay and water for her.15mins
poo pick the other two horses field-ten mins as its dark by then!
groom and check the two over and bring them in.swap rugs.10mins
tack up horse, ride for 25-45mins in school with lights on.groom horse, put PJs on and to bed.
home between 6.30-7pm

used to take me 40mins to muck out fully everyday for the older mare when she was on shavings full bed.

If I get on with it then I have have the pony fed, rugs changed, turned out, mucked out, bedded down, bucket filled and nets done, all immaculate (cos I'm one of those perfectionists!) in about 20 mins. However, if there are people at the yard then it can take me over an hour cos I chat too much!!!
