Ok, so YAY i am getting a horse... but as I have never had one before, and only been allowed to dream, hehe... I have no idea how long it will take me from going to look at the horse, provided that it is the one for me, and actually getting it home?? Because my stables are being completed mid-August, so is it too early to start seriously looking now, as I really dont want to appear as a time waster to anyone... and also, who long does it take to get the results from a 5* vetting?

You get the results from the vetting on the same day.
I would start looking now as it may take you some time to find your perfect horse - it took me 6 months! And then when you find one you think you want, there is the second (and possibly third!) viewings to be done and the vetting to be undertaken, it all takes a while.
 
no harm in starting to look, i tried about 10 horses out before I found my beautiful boy. Saying that when I was looking for my second - a mare - I

fell in love with the first one I viewed and bought her !!
 
I would start looking now. I found the horse I wanted after a month but the vetting found he had a heart murmur, I really liked him so decided to have it scanned to see how severe it was. Unfortunately it wasn't good news so had to being the hunt all over again so in total it was about 3 months from the start of looking to actually getting one home. Once the vetting has been completed you will get the results right away. Good luck

That is great news. If you go to the vetting the vet will feed baack to you there and then. If not he/she will phone you the same day. Do make sure you have a vetting though. Take your time and find your ideal horse.
