How long does Sedalin take to wear off?

My 600kg mare had 3ml at about 4.30 and she is still a space cadet now at 9pm. Is this normal? She's not distressed at all, just really sleepy.

Look on the information leaflet. It is supposed to last 5-6 hours,
so that sounds OK, will be starting to wear off soon.

Thanks, the vet said four hours which is why I'm wondering about it.

Effects horses very differently. My mare had the entire tube- no apparent sleepy effect at all. But saying that she did behave herself, so maybe it made her attitude calmer? We chucked her straight out after on vets advice and she went trotting off across the field

I would say she'll be fine, some horses it works very well on

My 500kg cob had 2ml when the hunt used to go through our yard and right past his stable, just to keep him chilled. It would take five to six hours to wear off and for him to be back to his perky self and not dozy! It worked very well on him.
