horse has just come off 4 weeks box rest for a pelvic injury, to cut a long story short was supposed to be 8 weeks but after reassesment from vet/chrio/physio thought he'd be better out in a smallish paddock. he's still stabled at night and i've made him a paddock in a very grassy field to keep him occupied. he was sedated with sedalin for the first few days and all was well however now he's not sedated when he goes out he bucck and farts about for ages then when it comes to the evening he seems to get very upset and desperate to come in, que more bucking antics, he's also a nightmare to lead in and out. how long till he returns to his normal self??? i'm worried he will hurt himself, afterall the last thing a pelvic injury needs is bucking!!!
