How long for sedation to wear off

Had one of my mares sedated at around 5:45 to clip her ears head and she is still dopey not moving around or calling for dinner how much longer before i can put her to bed

A slight aside here but we keep the sedated ponies to stay and be companions to the youngsters when they're being clipped. It always makes me smile that the youngsters are all "oh it's so lovely that X is keeping me company, there's nothing to be scared of here", when in fact X is snoozing away completely out of it and would be doing his/her nut if he/she was awake. I think it's usually about 3 hours from initial administration before what we use wears off.
