I can't get hold of the farrier I've used for two of my horses for the last 6 plus six years (He refuses to touch my pyscho mare but then I don't blame him!!) My cob was postponed as he didn't need doing two weeks ago. Last wednesday I text reminding him to book him in. He prefers me texting than ringing. Nothing from him. Left it a day the sent a jokey text on the friday morning saying I bet he had forgotten me to which he replied that he had. Then sent another reminder later the same day to him. Nothing over weekend or yesterday. Have called this morning left a message. But still no booking! And my boy NEEDS doing now. It is unlike this guy and I don't want to appear to be a pestering nagging pain in the rear end.... How long should I leave it

If your horse needs doing I would pester until you get an answer of some sort! possibility hes put his back out/ had a family emergency or something?

I wouldnt leave it much longer sounds strange if he is normally very good, makes you wonder if something has happened..
Maybe try calling him ?

Who do you use, I always have to chase my farrier if I re arranged but he does not mind and is very good and always turns up. If I dont get a reply I normally ask if alls ok and he normally text back that he forgot me and hes sorry!
