How long should it take a dog to eat an oxtail?

As above really.... my special little beast has been on with hers for a good 25 mins

She is making progress with it but verrrrrry slowly, not for lack of trying though!

She has raw on 'treat' days at the moment, but we are thinking of making it a permanant thing (especially if it taker her this long to eat everything)

I think she would find it alot easier if she would use her paws instead of just diving her face into it

So... is my dog a hopeless case? Or do your dogs take so long to munch through raw?

If it was Max it would probably last about 15 mins

If was Sweep it would be chopped into chunks and each chunk would get chomped on for about half an hour then he would get bored come in for a cuddel and Max will finish it off

The only thing that actually takes anytime is a pigs heads - that takes Max almost a day to get through and he is knackered afterwards!:

She managed it in about an hour

Honestly if she wasn't so precious about her feet her life would be much easier! She really is a special case.

I think a whole pigs head would take a week
