Hello Everyone,
Just got a new Hit-Air MLV vest. It's light and feels very nice. However, I have been reading through the manual and the web but couldn't find any figures on the optimal length of the lanyard. I posted something up on Facebook and they say it's up to me.
The default length of the lanyard is some 70cm (stretched) to the buckle, plus about 10cm from the saddle strap. I think this is far too long for equestrian use. I don't think there is enough distance to fire the vest, especially for a forward rotational fall where the poor horse collapses his front legs.
I also heard people fell off without the vest getting inflated because of the long length.
Would some of you Hit-Air users shed some light on the settings please?
Many thanks for sharing in advance!!!
