How long to leave freshly harvested oats and barley before feeding?

I'm running out of both and soon there will be freshly harvested barley available at the feed store. Oats will be available a little later. I was wondering how long do I need to wait before feeding it to horses. I feed barley cooked, if that matters. Thanks!
