How long to leave new haylage before use?

Hi all,
As post really...how long do I leave new haylage before use? I am a hay feeder so unsure.
We have made the big round bales...'twas supposed to be hay...so 5 days drying and turning and the night before the baling...FOG! Dry the next day but not for hay so baled as haylage. Double wrapped.

We usually get a July haylage cut and try not to open before oct, so would say 3 mnths approx.

Thats what we did too, and we plan to change to haylage from hay (which we use over the summer when we don't use much) on the first of Oct this year. But my instructor's livery yard has been feeding this years for over a month now (early May haylage) with no problems. Its very dry haylage.
