How long beforeI should see a improvement in my horse after having his teeth done?
he was dropping food etc before but wonder how long it should take to see a improvement in the way he eats etc. Thanks

I would have thought that you would see an instant improvement if his teeth were the actual cause of him dropping his food. But i maybe wrong.

Thats what I thought but hes still dropping some food not as bad as before but is still doing it a bit after a couple of days I wonder if hes a bit sore from the rasping etc and it takes a day or two?

I'd have also thought it'd be fairly instant? But if the horse has had a lot of work done, then it's mouth may be sore I'd have thought, so I'd give at least 48hrs too see if there was any improvement...

our dentist always says it can take a few days, particularly with hard feed, and can be even worse than it was before until they get used to it. Would give him over the weekend and then call the dentist if he's still doing it.

Thanks for replys hes 18 and his teeth were very sharp as had not been done for quite a while hes as not been looked after very well in last home. Ive only been looking after him for a few weeks

There does seem to be a slight improvement today, not dropping asmuch food and seems more comfatable when eating. will give it a few more days.
