How long to settle after removing cereals

I'm currently changing my horses diet. I've been paranoid about him being a poor doer and have been feeding baileys top line conditioning mix with speedie beet. He lives out all year round and looks great in the summer with practically no supplementary feed and he is quite settled during the summer months. His temperament has changed over the winter and he is quite a worrier so I'm being a bit experimental and am going to cut out the coarse mix and replace it with "Just Grass" along with speedie beet and linseed oil. I'm in the process of gradually reducing one and increasing the other but I'm wondering how long after the cereals are taken out of his diet will he settle (if that was the cause of his temperament change)

(He is given good quality hay but he's really not a big hay eater. He doesn't seem to mind the Just Grass in his feed)

Thanks!

Many years ago, I stopped giving a TBxWelsh marecereals, literally from one day to the next (which I wouldn't do again). Her behaviour changed instantly, she really didn't want to leave the box. Within a week she was back to being a normal horse, whereas her behaviour had been off the wall for a few years and deteriorating

Thanks for the replies! I feel like I can notice a difference in him already but I'm not sure if that's wishful thinking... I'll only really know when I get my up on him
