How long to wait for referral to Cambridge vet school for appt?

I'm getting impatient (just for a change). My vet spoke to Cambridge last Thursday to sort out our referral there for bone scans etc, with the aim of going there this week or next. But I've not yet heard anything from Cambridge.

Does it always take this long or should I call them to chase? I don't want to be a pain...but am getting a bit wound up worrying what's wrong with Ronnie...
 
personally I would call CVS my horse is being treated by them at the moment (they are coming out to me later for a follow up!!) In my experience it is the referring vet that normally takes the time not them, call them and see if they have any updates for you and they will be able to tell you if your vet has contacted them!! Hey thank you for the tip. I've left a message for my vet to call me this morning, and I'll see what he says and then hopefully givs CVS a call a bit later. Am getting so anxious!
