my silly horse caught himself in a wire fence on tuesday and ended up with six staples in the wound:
the vet was up today and she thinks there's an infection starting around the wound area - he's been given antibiotics and bute to take until monday.
Has any1 had experience with something similar?
Call me naive but i would have thought that the wound area would have been cleaned/flushed before being stapled to prevent this sort of thing happening.
How long was it before your horse was back in work?
im absolutely gutted as he's only just come back into work after a back injury
