He has wind-galls on both front legs, not big, just above the fetlock. And his leg was swollen from fetlock joint and up for one day. Now it is almost back to normal, but he has small bumps/bows very low on his front legs, on the back. Like tendons are bowed but hardly any heat or swelling. And the bow is not big at all, like almost non existent. He's on a therapy given by my vet. And when lunged in deep sand on a circle he is limping on the front right leg and throwing it aside in trot. And his knee shakes when walking. He's over the knee, also. I would like to know how long will it approximately take him to heal, he's 7, will he ever be able to go to short, 40km endurance races, and will he ever be able to do small jumps, nothing over 80cm? Please, please answer me as nobody answered me before. He's currently box rested with medicine, and whatever is vet doing. Thanks! <33

What prognosis has your vet given - I must say it sounds like ligament issues, rather than windgalls.

And I'm assuming you've stopped lunging him???

Yeah, you're right, it's the same horse. I never actually lunged him, only made him go in a circle for a seconds to see how lame he is, other than that he is on stall rest and only hand walked. I think vet is giving him cortisone and animalintex to put on the leg before applying bandage.
