How long would a bag of Blue Chip last a 16hh MW?

I have never fed a feed balancer but both my boys have had their hard feed rations cut due to being hyper! They now mainly have alfalfa, one has 3/4 scoop of pasture nuts and the other 3/4 scoop of pasture mix once a day. They have add libb forage,i.e. hay at night and grass during the day.
I just thought maybe i should be feeding some sort of balancer.

They are both working 4 days a week and competing at weekends, both are very well and well covered.
One is a 16hh Irish MW and the other a 16.2hh hannoverian X TB.
How long would a bag of blue chip last or is there something else i should give them?
Any ideas greatfully received!! :

I don't know about blue chip but I feed George Baileys lo-cal balancer and he is a 16.3 MW and a 20kg bag lasts about 28 days. I love the lo-cal, even now George has a lovely shiny coat and the farrier has commented on his feet improving. He has his lo-cal with some hi-fi.
 
I use to fed blue chip, but feed it at half the recommeded amount and it use to last a couple of months. This year i changed to equivate supplement and have to say that my horse looks just as good on this as she did on blue chip and its a fraction of the price.
 
Depends how much he weighs, you need to feed at approx 100g per 100Kg of body weight. You should be able to work it out approx from there

if you are on Manage my horse website they have this clever feed calculator and you tell the site what your horse eats and how much a day and what you pay for a bag and it tells you instantly what it costs a day a week a month and a year. My aunt uses it regularly and it can tell her what the feed will cost over any period of time. I don't use that section but she does it's really quite useful. loads more in their feed section that you should find interesting really. someone mentioned it on her before.
 
you're very welcome, it's brill and free thank god as my horses are expensive enough. mum would kill me for saying that as she pays for them! being a poor but happy soul horse rider that site might give me commission as i tell everyone about it all my friends joined!
