Question as in tittle. Also is it ok to leave on overnight, to protect from late evening midges, when wearing the mesh style ones, do you think they can see in the dark

well mine has serious issues with midges - if i dont leave her mask on all the time then i cant get near her ears. she seems to manage.

I was wondering because 2-3 eves a week i cant get down to the yard after about 4pm, so do i take mask off then or leave on all night. Its a full face mask as he need it for sun protection on hiz muzzle, and it has uv protection in it.

I've been leaving the pony's on all day and all night, dusk and dawn are prime time for midges so I'd rather leave it on for these times he seems ok with it and his ears are lovely and scab free!

i leave mine on almost 24/7 (only if she comes in she can have it off). she has bad sweet itch and i cant risk it off for a day. its a lovely light one with thin sheepskin around the ears and muzzle and it has never rubbed her

My mare stabbed herself in the eye with a twig a few years ago and had to have two ops on her eye. When she went out she had to wear a flymask 24/7 (vets orders) and was absolutlely fine. I usually leave them on at night when the flies are bad now and haven't had problems.

Thanks everyone. I don't feel so bad now i know others leave them on overnight.

Left mask on tonight, so will see if he managed to find his way around in the dark without bumping into any trees  in the morning.
