Last couple of weeks i've posted asking for recommendations for back people and saddlers, thinking once i know whos about and how much its going to cost, i can save the pennies and get him done in the next couple of months. But low and behold the little bu*ger beat me to it and i had to have the vet out to him yesterday. Think it stems from last week when we stopped at a jump whislt practicing and i went sailing over his ears in a YBF moment

(oh how i wish it had been caught on camera as i really could do with the cash from it

). Anyways he has some seriously tight muscles across his back so the physio is coming out tomorrow afternoon to sort him out, and i'm now running roung like a headless chicken trying to find the cash to get him fitted with a new saddle. In the mean time obv i'm not riding him and was wondering what sort of recovery time i should be looking at, before its safe to ride? I'm a bit of a nurotic mummy when it comes to my little princes, and have been fortunate enough not to have had back problems before, so what do you recon? Thankies

The pyhsio will recommend you the best course of action. My horse has had a couple of back problems in the past, once he had to have just a week off, then walking for a week or 2 long & low just to get him stretching. Im sure it wont be too long.
