Would you ask to have a horse on loan with a view to buy. I want about 3-4 months do you think thats fair l think that gives me time to see if the horse is whay l am looking for. What do you think?

alot of people do loans with a view to buy,but if you are looking to buy and have a 3 month trial period alot of sellers will be reluctant to do so as alot can go wrong in that space of time.

A friend of mine asked for loan with view to buy from a dealers yard and got 10 days. And she knew the dealer.
You can ask I suppose but don't be surprised if they say no to that long. Be prepared to compromise. Can you not do everything with the horse that you want to do in a shorter length of time?

I think thats quite a long time and alot could go wrong,eg the horse could be njured, go lame etc. if I was selling i wouldn't consider that length of time.
