How many average haynets from a small square bale??

Question is as above really, just working out how much hay to buy in to tide me over and i was wondering how many you can get roughly out of a small bale....

firstly, how many slices do you put in your average haynet?

After a break from horses i haven't used small bales for many years, have been using large round ones for the past 6 months so unsure there! Daft i know!

How big is your horse and how much are they stabled? And how long do you want the hay to last for?

Depends on weight/size of the bale, they do seem to differ. I got 3 x 12lb nets out of a bale last year. I weigh my hay because of fattie cob

One 17 h, one 16h and one 15.3, all reasonably good doers that are out all day (8-7 roughly) and just need a net for night time.
