What do you guys recommend, is it necessary to have two crates for new pup, i.e one in living room one in kitchen/diner? Also do you have one in the bedroom for new pup?

eh? no - 1 crate. just move it to whatever room you want it in, but best to choose one place to start with tbh so the pup gets used to its new environment. Good luck with your new addition:)

Only one but I can see why people would have a crate for different rooms.
My friends have about ten, they only have three dogs, I think they must get together and breed :p

We have one MASSIVE crate for Amber. We got her at 10 weeks, and she's now 13 months old. She LOVES her crate - she was asleep in there just now, with the door wide open.

She spends quite a lot of time downstairs now in the housemaster's house, and doesn't have a crate - she is simply in there for sleeping and food and water. She has been like this for 5 months or so now.

The crate stays where it always has been - in the sitting room. We live in a third floor flat, and the sitting room (the largest room) is right above where the housemaster lives, so she can't run around in the night!!! We're moving flat however next month, but the same routine will be maintained, hopefully!

I have three between two dogs....but then one is fabric and a certain puppy would chew through it so it's in the garage for when we travel. I like the fabric ones as they're much lighter to carry when I go away.
