I'm not at all - unfortunately my horse is a thin skinned TB and will just cause a complete fuss if taken out in anything other than a shower.

In the wind he's a nightmare (prob due to him being blind in one eye, so looses his hearing too).

I won't ride in a storm (friend got hit by lightening whilst riding, thankfully everyone involved survived). I also have to consider YO's arena surface and the fact that at the moment I am in a borrowed saddle. So can't be out in down pours.
Otherwise yes I ride what ever the weather.

I can be! If its really bad i dont bother especially if it only one day in the week she gets an extra day off. If its just raining normally and pony hasnt been ridden the day before then i do. Shes fab whatever the weather gales or anything. Once your on though its never that bad, and once your wet your wet!! At the moment you cant avoid it so you have to get on with it!

I will ride in whatever unless I am going to get hit by lightening or its a hurricane.

Horse needs to be exercised and has to compete in whatever the weather so might as well ride in all the weather.

i am not bothered by rain TBH

I dont mind light rain, but if its heavy im a wimp and we wont go lol

rain is one of the few times neddy doesnt have his head in the clouds though as he hates it haha

My boy goes absolutely bonkers in the wind so I never ride in it!!! He scowls a helluva lot when it rains too but I always take him out unless it's totally monsoon.

If it's absolutely chucking it down I don't, but to be honest I've realised that if it's dry when you start out but then starts raining it's nowhere near as bad!

yes i must admit if its torential rain and wind i wimp out ! i hate going to shows but hes a hunter and is supposed to go in anything (not that he ever does lol) !!!

QR

I will ride if it just spitting but I don't get any pleasure out of getting soaked (neither does my horse) and he justs starts playing up and being silly when it is really windy/rainy and I am not a good/confident enough rider to deal with it so unless I have a lesson I don't ride in heavy rain!

I actually enjoy riding in the rain. Especially summer rain. Least there will be no flies!

Only on my Welshy tho! As she likes it just as much as I do!

I'll ride in the rain but not terrential rain or strong winds.

I am however A FAIR WEATHER COMPETITOR!!!
If it's raining - I dont go!!

I am a mad woman

just last weekend, I rode out in the pouring rain, doesnt sounds too mad till I tell you ur yard has a large indoor school hehe

I'm not that much of a fair weather rider, fully waterproofed up I'll go out in almost anything, but my little horse is a fair weather horse....eg I will ride tonght but with a waterproof exercise sheet on and stay in the woods! He is not keen on rain, and if it is windy and raining I don't bother as he is a complete toerag - just swings his bum into the wind constantly to keep his face dry! We have ridden in some pretty dreadful weather tho, particularly when daylight is shorter and I only have certain days i can get him out, we have to go out whatever the weather. Can be a little more picky at this time of year though!

I dont ride in the rain (or bad wind!) because I only have a paddock to school in so its really the ground conditions which warrant my riding (or not!).

I wouldnt not go to a lesson or competition due to rain though (unless it was cancelled obviously!).

I have always ridden in whatever weather - I remember as a child hacking out down the lanes in the snow, my feet frozen! These days I am much the same, the rain definitely does not bother me....nor the cold.....the wind is something I have to be mindful of due to an injury I have and not wanting my horse to chuck me off spooking....

I don't mind the rain but wouldn't go out if it was really heavy though was caught out about four miles from home once and it wasn't to bad rather fun in fact

but my Rosie doesn't do rain not even a shower

I was when I was in the UK, heavy rain just didn't do it for me at all.

Here, I ride in the rain, the snow, the wind, I don't ride when the sky is blue, the sun is shining and it's 32C, far too busy wilting in a shady corner to even think about getting on a horse.

im a fair weather rider. I will not ride in the rain unless i absolutely cant avoid it.
I ride for fun and getting wet and cold isnt fun. add to that that my pony can become a lunatic in high winds and you get a fair weather rider.

i used to ride in anything but now since weve taken over a riding school with indoor i tend to chicken out and go in there save getting soaked. but i tend only to use it in bad weather or for my lessons so we dont get bored

I'm from Africa, so am a very fair weather rider - over there if it is raining, then you can just ride the next day..
Since being here I've got a bit better. I've ridden in snow in lessons (though wouldn't if it was just my own horse) and am happy to hack in light rain. But I just don't enjoy being out in nasty weather.
