..do you think YO should expect to pay for.
She has 9 horses, 5 of which hunt at least once a week, 1 on box rest, 2 youngsters being brought on, 1 competition horse.
They are all stabled and YO has nothing to do with them on a day to day basis. She does them on a Sunday (as in turns them out am, gets them in pm, rugs, feeds and hays).
There is no horse walker or anything, but there is a menage.
How many hours a day do think is reasonable to be paying for for their full care?
That will get you thinking, I hope!

Well I'm a groom and I do 6 hours a day, at the moment looking after 10 horses, 3 youngsters (living out) , one 4yr old being brought on, 1 box rest, 2 in full work and 1 in half work (in foal), one 2 yr old- learning the ropes and 1 old boy who lives out.
But as they are all stabled and I guess you have to check last thing as well, probably 7-8 hours.

Thanks for that. Its really hard to work it out. YO actually does do night time walk around, so that is one job less!
8 hours a day seems OK to me, its not just me, there are two of us who both work mornings. Just trying to work out if there is a better way!
Thanks
