I find time to run 5km at least 3 times a week. Although an effort it really helps me to be fit enough to do whatever I want riding wise and otherwise.

Anyone else have an exercise regime outside horses??? It also means I can eat all the chocolate I want - yum.

I do pilates once a week, am going back to teaching gymnastics which is good exercise, and I go to the gym/swim when travelling with work

I also do pilates once a week, and I try to cycle to the yard now and again.

I'm just starting running again after a knee problem, and once that's back up to strength I'll be aiming to do four or five hours of exercise a week, not including riding or pilates :)

I run probably 4/5 times a week, nothing much and rarely above 10km. Try to swim most days too, and when I have time I love hillwalking/climbing and canoeing. Am also getting into slacklining again :)

I love to walk. We have dartmoor right on our doorstep so at any available opportunity, hubby and I drag the boys out and we spend the da walking and exploring. My three year old and five year old are very good at walking and regularly do about five miles with us but as much as we can, we ask the grandparents to have them for a Few hours so we can walk for longer. Did ten miles today. It's so beautiful that I don't feel like I'm exercising which is half the battle!

I force myself to go to the gym but don't enjoy it! I used to though. In winter I go 5/6 times a week, in summer I only tend to go 3 times as I hate doing exercise other than riding when it's warm (rare in this country, i know ;) )
I do aerobics & high energy classes, a few yoga classes to help with flexability and go on the treadmill or cross trainer if I'm late and have missed my class...
I also go running during the week as I prefer running through the countryside than on a treadmill! Love walking but don't do much of it since we moved from the moorland, was definitely spoilt living there.

On a weekly basis (on top of riding 6times and exam revision and school) I...
Play Hockey
Rounders
One session of athletics
Tennis
Rock-it-ball
Lacrosse
Rock climb at my local indoor
Swim
2 hours of dance
Dog agility
And walk a LOT, too and from school, the dog, the seemingly 1000 miles to catch t'hoss

I don't have the time, energy or, let's face it, the inclination, to actually do something that involves physical exertion.
I have 50 acres of grazing, 25 horses, foals, mares in to cover, poultry, the goat and rabbit rearing, hay to crop, family and house and no help during the week, if I have free time I relish just being motionless :D ;) Anyway, I fight to keep weight on, and right now, I am not winning, lost another 5lbs in the last 3 days.

I do admire anyone who exercises, for whatever reason, I have never enjoyed actually exerting myself, way too lazy.

My job gives me exercise, 200 acres with 200 horses to walk round all day, I dont think I would have enough energy to do anything else after that!

I do 10hrs pole acrobatics (training and teaching) and as many hours rock climbing (indoors or out on the crags) as I can fit in. I was trying to run or cycle several times a week as well as stretch 3 times a day, but my slipped disc isn't liking it! Pole keeps me super strong but my cardio could be better.

Does mucking out and poo picking count :D

I walk a lot beside hubs while he's riding, and when I do RDA a lot of running is involved.

Hmmmmm, all my exercise is horsey based ;)

I am really restricted because of the ongoing issues following my riding accident but I walk three or four times a week and am very busy looking after the yard land etc .
But recently I have started seeing a great horse and human physio who I think is really going to help me she seems to have a long term plan for what she what's to achieve with me ( not in go to physio physio treats you feel better until the next time) . Part of this plan is private Pilates lessons the first one is 4 pm today I have no idea what to expect I am a bit nervous. The physio often works along side this Pilates teacher so we will see,
wish me luck.
