how many of you rent your yard?

I would love to rent a house with yard.
Me and a few friends are going to try and save up so in a few years once weve finished uni etc we can rent a house with yard of someone and start our own livery/competition yard.

So how many of you do this?
and is it worthwhile... financially viable?

I rent my house/land and have lodgers in to make it affordable. Running a livery yard at a profit is extremely difficult, especially if it has to support several of you! Plus, mixing business with pleasure has the potential to go very wrong. The friend I originally signed a long lease with left to get married after a year and I nearly lost the place.
