How many of you have bought your horse/pony for a price and then sold them for another? Did their value increase or decrease? Just interested to know.

I bought my 1st pony for £1500 and sold her 2 years later for £2500 I think thats quite good increase

i bought my 14.2 coloured pony for £2000. He was a really naughty pony at the time, but with a lot of persevierence (and bruises!) he turned out to be fab, he does foxhunter bsja and pre novice eventing, i think he would be worth between £8000 and £10000, but he was my first pony so i couldn't sell him.

bought my 14.2 grey pony for £3000, sold for £10,000!!
he was terrible at the start and no one thought that we would get him on the bit, but after a lot of work he started to bend, and then won every dressage and eventing class we entered in

. but he was a once in a million pony and he has gone to a fab home where i see him occassionlly - hes so special because i did all the work on him myself

Bought my first horse for £1200 think he would be worth about £5-6000 now but would never sell him!

Yes made a nice profit on my first horse....BUT was due to blooming hard work and alot of time so really over time prob made a decent loss!!! But from brought value-sold value I made about £1500.
