have times when you think 'oh! I would love a horse where you could just get on, go and do whatever without a fight'?

I'm having one of those times, been looking through the horse ads and there are loads out there (well so the ads say

)
Think it must be me age, must be getting either wimpier or just plain lazy

Sorry for the moan just having a 'I could sell it and find something nice that doesn't want to fight' day

I think that most days after getting off my bunny-hopping ,bucking 4 year old

But then as soon as she's even remotley well behaved I forget , until she has another Strop and I consider it all over again !!

ETA - It can't be age as I'm only 16 and I have been regularly thinking it for the last 6 months

Nope, just need one of those rather large wellies up your bum

I would love to have a horse like yours, all that potential, he's going to be fab and well worth the work, tell him to walk around on his knees and i will gladly take him off your hands

We all have days like that but remember no horse is perfect - no matter what an advert says! There are days when Bane is being an absolute tit and spooking at everything and I wish for an easy horse but I know I would get bored very quickly (and I do love him really

Poor Monty will get a complex if you carry on

ME!! Another day another brain and body test on board gorgeous but screwed up competition horse. I am coming to the realisation that with serious back injury and less time and energy than I used to have, I'm not the rider I was a few years ago when fit but frustrated by unsound horse. I'm nearly ready to sell up and look for a Mr/Miss Average for a safer, quieter life.

Yes, all the time. My ten year old , Welsh D is green and he loves to try it on, the whole time which really tries my patience as he doesn't seem to understand that it's easier to behave.

I sometimes think how nice it would be to have a dozy horse who I got hop on a go for a really nice long hack... I dont hack mine after too many scares with past horses! But then, I love my horses and wouldnt change 'em
