Hi, I've seen it bandied around the forums before but never tried it myself. I have one prone to feet related problems and rock through animalitex so just wondered if they actually work? Thanks
Worked well for me too - my farrier recommended themThey work well for us!
You still have to use animalintex
with the nappy if you're treating an abscess or a bruise, as they don't contain any drawing agent. They do make good padding over a poultice thoughQUOTE]

Although it is also possible - if you know the spot you're wanting to drain - to make up a paste using Epsom salts as a drawing agent, pack it into the hoof, and then nappy over the top
I do lintex (or Epsom salts), vetwrap but not a whole roll!, then nappy, then duck tape. They last 24 hours turnout, and I have to cut them off with scissors. If I could work out a way of reusing the "boot" that comes off, I would!
Sugar can be used to reduce inflammation and draw away infected matter.
Cut neatly down one side and seal with duct tape when reapplied? If I could work out a way of reusing the "boot" that comes off, I would!
I haven't had to deal with an abscess for years and struggled with animal lintex and bandage. Now I'd use nappies or one of these. http://www.equinepodiatrysupplies.co.uk/Boots/Hoof-Wraps-Hoof-Bandage
I'd definitely get the 'boot' bandage for recurring problems.
I was once told to use hibiscrub and sugar mixed into a paste as a drawing substance before
