How many points before out of Prelim BD pre Dec 1st

Not sure how many points you can have before you must ride open. A friends horse has been imported and awarded 37 points and not sure if she can do prelim restricted or not?

Why have they awarded 37 - used to be 35?

37 is limit for prelim - but may have changed so suggest you check out the BD website.

Just checked the BD site and it is 37 points for prelim. Also, it states the minimum pointes awarded is 35 for a imported 5 year old, so would check it out.

Horse was a 10 year old when imported and had to apply to drop them and they awarded 37

Oh right - I see. Blimey, they could have slapped him with 400 points then - that would definately be out of prelim!!

Unless she goes H/C - then no. Prelim Open is open to non-registered or registered horses, registered or non-registered riders, but must not have gained 37 points.

Yes, she can ride in Prelim.

At the moment the upper limit for Prelim is 37 points, so the horse would not be out of Prelim until it has won 38 or more.

See rule 15 which gives a table of the upper limit for all levels.
