This is a totally silly poll BUT it may add fuel to my fire
We've booked our honeymoon and have a lady coming in every day to check Jazz and do my share of the poo picking.

BUT the YM is insisting I pay my helper to pick up all 3 horses(there are 4 but 1 will be separate in Summer due to being laminitic so not included here) poo every morning *I ONLY HAVE 1 HORSE * . I'm away for 9 days and offered 3 full days poo picking or 6 half days. No, not good enough she said. Well I'm b***** well not doing it her way so will instruct the helper to only pick up Jazz every day !!OMG I know this is OTT silly situation. not what I wanted!!!
The field is strip grazed. I estimate a horse will do 12 poo's a day, I know I need a life !, What do you guesstimate ?
Please help

our little one does about 12 a day. Why should you pay someone to pick up someone elses horses poo? Tell her to pay 1/2 if she's that lazy.

Mmmm, I know! I spent 3 weeks picking up 4 horses 7 hours of poo when she last went away as OP husband was in hospital.I'd only been there for a couple of weeks too. I didn't mind, I did it to help out but what gratitude to I get. Zilch

Not only do I get no help I'm 'expected' to pay someone to there horses poo up too so they can ride out OMG I spent years and years poo picking my ,then, 3 and the 2 I cared for and worked full time. They are so pampered and lazy......

Mine does 10-12 a day, there are about 5-6 in her stable in the morning, always in a line at the back of the stable. Once i give her, her breakfast she ALWAYS does a couple, and then 5-6 during the day.

There is a horse at the yard, and it only does about 4-5 a day, isnt that strange?

Caz, quite frankly your yard sounds like a complete bloody nightmare.

Tell the YM to pick up the poo, and bill you accordingly for YOUR horse only.

What does this woman do exactly????????????????????????

I workerd out that for 1 horse who poos elephant size poos and one pony with normal amount of poo per pile it was 2 standard size wheelbarrows a day!

I know I may sound obsessed but I have spent many years counting the number of barrows I pick up! It was aleays 2 barrow loads a day without fail in the summer but in the winter it decreased mainly due to the size of the piles coming out due to lack of grass!

AmyMay, It is a nightmare, I feel I'm treading on eggshells and waiting for the next crisis

They say one thing but act another way, if you know what I mean. The reason I've stayed is purely as my mare has had an unsettled past year and I wished to avoid changing her routine yet again. On saying that there is a rumour of a brand new yard opening up, literally down the road. I will assess that if it comes about!I will go armed with a list this time!

The YM flatly refuses to pick up any extra poo in the summer . End of... Her and the OP used to share winter poo picking if one was away which I joined in with BUT as I've said I helped them but when I take my first holiday(honeymoon

) they will not help me at all. I wouldn't expect them to get it all up FOC , just a helping hand as a thank you.

The YM is in her early 50's and doesn't work and has a cleaner(

), her husband retired early.
The OP hasn't worked for 40 years

I think their 'work ethics' may have been better if they had experienced a bit of hard graft and juggling of jobs.
For the last 25 years I've always had a job, F/T then P/T when my son was little and then F/T again until last year when we moved. TBH their attitude astouds me
